Before glory
His full name is Álvaro Felipe Henríquez Pettinelli. At age 12 he entered the Conservatory of Music in his hometown. He attended the University of Concepcion where he studied Music. His first bands were called Los Dick Stones and Los Escalimetros Voladores. In 1985 Los Dick Stones moved to Seattle and changed their name to Los Tres. In 1991 they released their self-titled debut album.
About Álvaro Henríquez
Chilean singer-songwriter, famous for being the vocalist and guitarist of the band Los Tres which critics have called "the great musical symbol of the 1990s in Chile." He also led the band Pettinellis and has worked as a producer and solo artist. He signed with Warner Music Group in 2004. His self-titled album from 2002 got the gold record. He has also appeared in movies such as Revenge, Vermouth & Noche and Ángeles Negros.
Family Life
He had a long romance with the singer Javiera Parra. He was married to Julieta Venegas from 1998-2000. He has one daughter, Olivia Henríquez Loyola, with Mariana Loyola.
Friends and colleagues
His original band, Los Dick Stones, was a rockabilly-influenced group which played songs by Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent and Elvis Presley.
Fast facts
He sings, plays guitar, bass guitar and the keyboard. He has 20,000 followers on his alvaro_henriquez_pettinelli Instagram page. He participated in the musical production La Negra Ester, which went on to become the most watched work in the history of Chilean theater. Los Tres split up in 2000 but reunited in 2006 with three of the four members. The Pettinellis came out with the song "Caballo Sin Dueño" in early 2023.
