He graduated from Denham Springs High School in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Back in high school, he was an outfielder and a pitcher. He attended university with his partner.

About Travis Swaggerty

Professional center fielder that was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates during the first round of the 2018 Major League Draft. He was drafted from the University of South Alabama. While at South Alabama, he was twice named a member of the first-team All-Sun Belt Conference. 

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with is family in Covington, Louisiana. He now lives with his wife, Peyton, and their daughter. 

Friends and colleagues

He played alongside Ke'Bryan Hayes during his MLB debut on June 7, 2022.

Fast facts

He is the second-highest drafted player in South Alabama history behind Glenn Borgmann, who was drafted by the Minnesota Twins with the 9th overall pick in 1971. He was drafted by the Pirates with the tenth overall pick in 2018.
